The next stage of the rebuilding of Henriksdal's treatment plant is starting. The stage will involve new blasting work.
Preliminary start in August 2021 - Reconstruction of the biological treatment lines 6 and 7 - Estimated for completion September 2023
Certain work steps during the redevelopment will involve disturbances for the residents of certain parts of the Henriksdalsringen, especially those who live closest to the place where the work is carried out and especially during the period when the roof is being raised in the post-sedimentation tanks.
Work steps
September - Oktober: Shaft
September 2021- March 2022: Raising of the roof in the post-sedimentation tanks.
September-October 21: Blasting of cross tunnels between the aeration tanks.
Planning is still ongoing for these works so all times are preliminary and may change.
New inlet tunnel
A new inlet tunnel is being built to cope with the increased inflow of wastewater to the treatment plant.
Work on the tunnel will start after the summer of 2021 and will take about 9-12 months.
The tunnel is being built under parts of the property Sicklaön 78: 1 (parts of Brf Henriksdalshöjden) approximately 45–60 meters below ground level, with traditional drilling, blasting technology.
Since the boreholes and blasts are made much further down than the technical tunnel that has previously been blasted out, the disturbances are assesseed to be considerably smaller, but they may still affect you who live on the lowest floors of Henriksdalsringen 51–63.
