We will inspect all buildings within a radius of 150 metres from the tunnel construction site, Henriksdalsberget and the Sickla plant. Information about inspection work will be posted to anyone affected in plenty of time before we start work.
All buildings are generally susceptible to natural wear and tear. It is therefore important to document and establish this before the blasting operations begin. Inspections will be carried out as close to the start of construction as possible, approximately one month before construction work may start to affect the buildings.
The inspections will be carried out by impartial inspection companies with extensive experience. Inspectors will always carry visible ID so that property owners can feel secure.
What will be inspected?
When the inspection company inspect the building, they will note damage such as cracks, cracked window panes, cracked tiles, loose material that has fallen, and lots more. They will also carry out pressure testing and visual inspections of chimneys and fireplaces, where applicable.
Post-inspections will be carried out when blasting operations are no longer able to affect properties. The inspector will note any changes and assess whether they were caused by construction of the tunnel or natural wear and tear.
